Dependable and safety-minded Entertainment Technician with hands-on experience in stage setup, lighting, rigging, and audio operations for live events and themed environments. At Legoland California, contributed to seamless show production by handling technical setups, operating sound and lighting systems, and fabricating custom props under tight deadlines. Trained in rigging, forklift operation, and harness safety through both field experience and formal instruction. With over 18 years as a musician, bring a deep understanding of live sound, equipment troubleshooting, and performance flow. Recognized for professionalism, clear communication, and safety leadership, including being selected as the Technician department’s Safety Advisor at Legoland. I’m committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting the team’s success through reliability, adaptability, and professionalism.
I work across audio, lighting, staging, and safety operations in both live performance and themed-entertainment settings. I operate soundboards, run mic checks, manage wireless packs, and troubleshoot audio issues while collaborating directly with performers. On the lighting side, I set up and install fixtures on truss structures, run and manage cabling, and focus and adjust lights to meet the parks quality. I build, install, and maintain a wide variety of staging elements, including props, décor, and functional set pieces, while supporting my team with assembly of staging and truss systems for large-scale events. Serving as the team safety advisor, I oversee PPE compliance, ladder and lift inspections, power tool safety, worksite cleanliness, and proper storage of materials and chemicals. I adapt to constant operational changes by supporting parades as a float operator, executing load-ins and load-outs, running hotel shows with live cue improvisation, and functioning as a floating tech to keep all systems running smoothly during seasonal events. In addition, I improved team communication and conflict resolution by fostering a positive, solution-oriented environment, introduce carpentry skills that save the department money and expand creative capabilities, and have earned recognition for high-quality prop design and craftsmanship under tight deadlines.
With 18 years as a performing and recording musician—including work as a singer-songwriter—I bring a practical understanding of live audio, performer needs, and studio workflow. I’ve recorded in professional studios and run my own home setup, using interfaces, DAWs, and basic signal routing to track, edit, and troubleshoot audio. Performing with acoustic and electric guitar, hand percussion, and handpan has given me experience managing stage sound, monitoring levels, and communicating clearly during sound checks. This background helps me collaborate effectively with performers, anticipate audio challenges, and support smooth technical operations during live events.
Built and repaired commercial buildings and managed woodworking projects. Developed strong problem-solving, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
