• Provide consistent park maintenance at Chollas Creek Park, including regular watering and upkeep.

• Perform hands-on maintenance and labor, including weed removal, fence maintenance, and other site improvement tasks.
• Help identify safety and accessibility concerns in community spaces and work with a team to develop practical solutions

2-Week Internship

• Worked with a team to design and build a scale model for a new indoor-outdoor hybrid classroom in partnership with Groundwork San Diego – Chollas Creek.
• Gained hands-on experience with architectural design and real-world project development.
• Learned and used laser-cutting machinery to create components for the scale model.
• Worked alongside architect Ted Cruz and gained insight into professional architecture and design.
• Developed teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and hands-on building skills.
