Shop was processing only about 15K per month in sales. Immediately recognized the need for better and more efficient operational system. Implemented a Quickbooks program for point of sale , and for shop accounting.


In the shop, performed all functions of sales and service manager. Processed clients efficiently and was able to develop some very long term relationships with many clients. Developed relationships with parts vendors. Used extensive parts catalog to source and determine correct parts, and best price for the client in need. As needed, when the time arose, performed many mechanical repairs on vehicles in shop. Performed alignments and all tire installations.


In the office, reconciled the daily receipts. Balanced the physical check book. Performed all payroll functions for many years until the Owner agreed to have a more professional software company update his system.


Overall when we started the process increased the monthly sales in the shop for 15k to almost 75k per month. East Urban Auto service was a well oiled, profitable machine. Prospered for many years after I moved to California.

Was given the opportunity to attend sales classes in Akron, Ohio for 4 weeks. Roll play sales and situational issues revolving around customer feedback, or failed sales.

Was promoted to Service Manager, and responsible for the store I was at, as well as the sister store 15 miles away. Needed to report all sales everyday at 10am, and needed to show improvement by the end of the business day.

Learned responsibility of vendor communications, and parts acquisition.
