Generator Technician — Mesa Power Solutions

Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and industrial generator systems. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable generator operation and minimize equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and natural-gas generators and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and routine servicing on generator systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-system issues using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot engines, alternators, batteries, transfer switches, fuel systems, cooling systems, and generator controls.
• Perform oil and filter changes, battery testing/replacement, coolant service, and other scheduled maintenance.
• Start, test, and load-test generators to verify proper operation and system reliability.
• Respond to service calls and diagnose equipment failures in the field.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate service records and document repairs, inspections, and parts used.
• Follow company safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable electrical and mechanical safety standards.
• Communicate with customers and team members regarding equipment condition, repairs, and recommended maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while properly handling tools and equipment.
