Christopher Mohler

• Works closely with the Superintendent to help direct the Operations Department, including water transmission and distribution, water production, field services, capital improvement projects, and maintenance of the district facilities.
• Coordinates operations with other District departments and companies to ensure efficient and aligned service delivery.
• Leads long-range and strategic planning for operations and maintenance programs.
• Develops, updates, and enforces operational policies, procedures, maintenance programs, and safety standards.
• Serves within the incident command structure during emergency events.

• Performs daily tasks in the Water Production department, by maintaining pumps, valves, booster stations, wells, and reservoirs. Collecting weekly/monthly samples. Checking chlorine residuals, and delivering chlorine to well sites as needed. Access SCADA program to monitor tank levels, well, and pump times, and make adjustments as needed
• Journey level and semi-skilled construction maintenance work relative to maintenance, repair,and installation of equipment, water facilities, sprinkler systems, fire hydrants, water meters, and pressure regulators
• Knowledge to operate power-driven equipment; excavates and back-fills trenches, main line leaks, shut offs and leak repairs. Be able to complete locates, taps, flush water systems and hydrants, cleans mains, and install new customer services
• The skills performed consist of pipe -fitting, carpentry with the use of a variety of hand tools, cuts and replacement of cement work, maintain district vehicles, and equipment
• Interpret and read blueprints, diagrams and district maps and use programs to access the districts data, to perform work orders and complete forms/reports, and input computer data
• Accessible (on-call) for emergency calls from different agencies or the public

Laborer & Pipe Layer Duties

• Journey level and semi-skilled laborer/pipe layer
• Operates district equipment including dump trucks, tractors/backhoe, tractor-trailers, water trucks, and any other heavy equipment required by the district
• Perform surveying, dig-alerts locates. Reads blueprints, plans and district maps
• Installs of new services, fire hydrants, pip-lines. Also, repairs water mains, valves, and other water services
• Maintained district vehicles, and property
• Inspect ground water wells, storage tanks and pump house facilities
• Bac/T samples, prepare monthly water production totals for the state
• Use of SCADA, the automated pump control system
