Additional Information Regarding Education

California State University of San Marcos (2018-2020)

  • I took part in three educational courses regarding Education (EDUC 350, EDUC 364, EDUC 410) to educate and prepare myself for becoming a teacher.
  • These courses enabled me to observe the classroom setting during school hours, tutor foster children, and educate myself on specific methodologies about educating students.
  • I took these courses simultaneously with plans to enter a teacher credential program.

Other Relevant Information

Soccer Experience (2003-2017)

  • In high school during the year of 2015, I volunteered to referee San Marcos Youth soccer games for about four months. This gave me the opportunity to meet with some families of the community and helped me develop my skills for calming tense situations when some parents become confrontational if emotions were high at the games.
  • Playing soccer for a total of fourteen years has given me a lot of knowledge about the game as well as recognize the importance of teamwork, balancing sports with education, and promoting high levels of respect and cooperation among my teammates and coaches.
