  • Project manager and COR for the Tucson Field Office in the Public Buildings Service Division overseeing projects that are generally under the SAT Threshold ($250,000) and occasionally between this limit and $1 Million
  • Participates in the agency as the Project Manager for contractor procurement, scope and design development, construction manager, tenant improvements, utility upgrades, and contract close outs.
  • Past and current projects include designs, construction, and design/builds ranging from $8,000 up to $2.4 million.
  • Participated in solicitations using IDIQs, 8(A), and Contract Opportunities to provide the most cost effective solution for a project based on its needs.
  • Job duties included project initiation, award, design and construction, project close out, and project documentation
  • Project initiation: involved customer work request assignment, contacting the customer within 5 days to discuss project requirements and field verification of conditions, followed by SOW and cost estimate development, schedule drafting and customer approval of project outline.
  • Award: includes but not limited to coordination with the contracting officer for contract vehicle selection, facilitating prebid site walks, managing bid RFIs, and performing technical evaluations of all proposals.
  • Execution: includes running kick off and progress meetings, managing and maintaining customer communications and expectations, executing HSPD 12 Security Clearance checks, submittal and RFI reviews.
  • Duties also included scheduling efforts with contractor and customer, on site labor interview and inspections, progress checks and invoice payments.
  • Substantial Completion: next responsibilities include punchlist walk through for customer satisfaction, collection of warranty and O&M documents, and final invoicing for project close out.
  • Additional Duties Includes: Review of all design guidelines for multiple disciplines of building construction, collaborating with multiple agencies to facilitate problem solving, and interpreting data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Responsible for several complex projects handed off by Project Managers leaving the Tucson Field Office which required a quick turn around to be familiar with all aspects of the project in order to maintain proper communication, ensure GSA and customer requirements are being met, and anticipate potential risks before they occur
  • Engaging with various customer agencies to create a working knowledge of occupancy operations and necessities for myself and to teach new Project Managers when they require assistance
