I have worked in the technical field my entire working career. Having moved from South Africa to Australia, I had to adapt to the work available at the time, thus moving away from the Tool jig and die-making trade and into the hydraulic cylinder repair sector which I adapted quickly to becoming supervisor of a section then onto looking after all the parts for each rebuild.
My wife and I decided to move from Brisbane to Hervey Bay for a bit of a sea change and at the moment I'm working for a company in Maryborough.
Hydraulic support to the workshop, involving the disassembly of cylinders and recording the condition of them and the work needed to repair them. Also the assembling of cylinders once the repairs have been done.
I also enter the reports into the system so the quotes for the repairs can be done.
At the moment the company I work for doesn't know I'm looking for another position.
I'm a fast learner with good communication skills, get along with people, and enjoy a bit of humor
I've got a machining background, lathes, milling machines, grinders, and most of the hand tools used today
Forklift ticket
Working in a store-type environment, involving goods and stock control etc
