Christopher Phillips

Currently I am assigned to the Patrol Division on the day shift. I have been assigned to patrol (Point Pleasant Borough) as a dedicated uniformed officer for 19 plus years. In this time, I have gained an immense amount of experience in traffic enforcement, emergency response, and criminal investigations. I am very skilled in report writing, case management, and crime scene preservation. I have prided myself in having strong integrity, sound judgment. Due to my experience on patrol I have gained a vast knowledge on the proper response to cases, especially those which can or have resulted in criminal charges. In my time on patrol, I have assisted with maintaining a scene for preservation of the evidence and collection of the same. My knowledge and experience has led to successful convictions of persons who have committed crimes within the borough. During a short stint in the Detective Bureau (3 months) I gained further knowledge of the role a detective takes to assist with cases that arise within the department. Having an excellent skill with maintaining my current assignment as the Vehicle Maintenance Officer (VMO), coupled with the various duties required of a patrol officer, I feel that I am more than capable of handling any case presented to me to investigate. Over my 20 plus years (to include SLEO 2 - Point Beach PD) I have expanded my ability to communicate with the public, conduct an interview and excellent time management of tasks, all of which are required in investigations.
