  • I go into restaurants and negotiate with business owners for the opportunity to work for tips. When I first started developing my business I had to talk with hundreds of restaurant owners, this gave me a lot of outside sales experience. I learned how to very quickly explain what i did and how it would help increase monthly sales numbers. My role is to entertain guests and to help with customer retention. I have to connect with customers within seconds and convince them to buy something that they were not intending to buy. I have learned how to talk with people from all types of social and economic backgrounds. Apart from learning communication skills i would have to be adaptive and flexible. There were times when a customer would request something i did not know how to make. i would then have to create it on the fly. This type of creativity made me very successful.

  • I worked for TMC on their brokerage side.
  • My job was to find new business through prospecting and to sell our logistics services. I would find companies that needed transportation and i would manage their freight with a mix of asset and brokered trucks . At TMC I was part of some very large projects. During one of these projects we were moving 16 trucks per day into the same facility . We would come in at 7am and not leave until 11pm . We managed to get every single truck to the jobsite before the contractors arrived to start working. I take great pride in my work and making sure my customers needs are met.
  • During my time at TMC I was directly responsible for moving around 300 truckloads of materials throughout the US, and i was even given an award for new business. Unfortunately TMC shut down four offices including the Jacksonville office.

  • I worked for a commercial and residential painting company. We painted houses,sports arenas, apartments and military facilities. I would work by my self or with a team. At this job I learned how to complete tasks in various difficult situations. At times we would be lifted 40-60 ft in the air often in 90+ degree weather. I take great pride in my work and i always treat customers with respect.
  • I ended up wining an award for going above and beyond for the benefit of the customer.
