As a train conductor I traveled to various locations with the train ensuring the safe arrival of cargo to it's destination. Responsibilities included switching cars, making or splitting up train in yard, moving cars between yards, sidings or tracks. Ensure compliance with train orders, signals, and railroad rules and regulations for the safety, operations, and FRA. Review instructions from dispatchers and yardmasters and discuss with locomotive engineer and train crew. Inspect all equipment on cars before departures. Read and understand bulletins, work orders and switch list.
