As well as the alcohol withdrawal population of patients: protecting airway, monitoring for seizures, and increased delirium while providing a safe environment. Patients that meet the need of increased observation and medical attention.

Our unit population consists of post-op surgery patients that require frequent monitoring for signs and symptoms of post op infection, control pain, strict monitoring of output; careful consideration with any type of drains: Foley, JP drainage bags, chest tubes and more. I also have a background and training as a 2018Relief Charge nurse in the medical-surgical floor that oversees the staff nurses and their patient care, coordinating with nursing supervisor, provide a safe and competent environment for the unit.
