Christopher Smith

As a Clinical Technician at Advanced Practice Clinic, I play a pivotal role in supporting healthcare providers and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. I assist with various clinical tasks, including preparing examination rooms, documenting patient information in electronic health record systems, and providing support during medical procedures. I am well versed as a Medical Scribe and gained a lot of clinical knowledge from doing so for over a year. I monitored vital signs of patients and reported any abnormalities to the physician or nurses immediately. Additionally, I manage patient appointments, performed EKG tests, handle inquiries from patients, managed phone calls, and maintain a clean and organized clinic environment. My attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team contribute to the high-quality care provided to the patients.

Being an Assistant Team Leader and working at Chick Fil A for over 3 years resulted in me gaining many great skills, especially in communication. I collaborated with team members to maintain a clean and organized dining area and trained new employees on company policies, procedures, and customer service standards. I provided exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking their orders, upholding hospitality, and ensuring a positive dining experience. I also utilized effective communication skills to address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.

Graduating with a 3.8 GPA and with over 50 college credit hours, I was involved in National Honor Society (NHS), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Peer Buddies, and Show Choir.

Expecting to graduate in May of 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.), currently with a 3.5 GPA. I am an active member in a Pre-Professional Club, Caduceus Club, the League of Lions, Pre-Student Osteopathic Medical Association, Campus Activities Board, Black Student Alliance, and the Green Bandana Project.
