Responsible for the maintenance 5 UH-60Ms and the wellbeing of 12 Soldiers. Maintained readiness of 15 Non-Rated Crew members and their flight records. Performed duties in accordance with all applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines to promote safe working environment.
As a flight Instructor (FI), I successfully implemented the commander's Aircrew Training Program for 15 MH-60M crew chiefs. Trained and evaluated special mission tasks to include M-134 aerial gunnery, Aerial Refuel, FARP procedures, FRIES operations, overwater tasks, hoist procedures, rooftop landings and strategic air transport. Deployed to multiple combat environments conducting real world operations.
Responsible for requesting modifications to the MH-60M through user consultations and generation of requirements documents. Worked with numerous venders and Army Technology Applications Management Office (TAPO) to ensure any capabilities gaps were filled. Reduced costs by streamlining contract bidding and procurement processes to assure best prices for materials and services. Completed installation, in flight testing, and troubleshooting on newly installed modifications. Conducted NRCM annual evaluations for Special Operations Forces Support Activity (SOFSA) employees. Routinely conducted Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) testing to ensure the force was ready for the latest aircraft threats across the battlefield.
Responsible for 10 Soldiers and 5 MH-60Ms. Scheduled daily maintenance, managed taskings, flight progressions, deployment rotations and various administrative actions. Conducted numerous overseas deployments and training events in foreign environments. Conducted training and evaluations on several mission tasks to include M-134 operations, Fast Rope infil/exfil, aerial refueling, overwater operations, hoist, rooftop landings and strategic air movements.
Maintained my assigned aircraft as a Readiness Level 1 (RL-1) crew chief both while deployed and at Ft. Campbell. Deployed for 2 years to Afghanistan and conducted Air Assaults, MEDEVAC support, and VIP flight support.
