Accomplishments

  • Coordinated efforts with the USCG to design, allocate funding, and begin build of the new outboard engine DYNO test facility. Under construction at this time.
  • Directed the purchase of new shipping materials that were needed to store additional USCG engine and lower unit inventory. Currently managing the storage of approximately 600+ engines and 300+ lower units with 30,000ft warehouse space.
  • Actively working directly with Honda Marine and USCG with current shift problems still occurring in the field along with on-going propeller failures. All future warranty claims regarding these issues will be re-imbursed directly through the Honda contract here at the NMC.
  • Adjusted work-flow to create an overtime plan where technicians could flash ECUs for BF225 engines needed for Coast Guard demand. Considered a success by all parties involved. Honda Marine re-imbursed all overtime labor with a parts credit od approximately $55,000.
