  • Taught elementary curriculum subject matter to students while using technology and mainstream teaching methods used to ensure 100% understanding and comprehension.
  • Prepared students for the STAR exam which is the state proficiency exam for the state of Texas as well as quarterly benchmark tests to monitor the students proficiency in reading, writing, comprehension and understanding as well as mathematics and sciences.

  • Spent 30 hours weekly planning lessons and creating center activities based on a Tier1, Tier 2, Tier 3 learning method to contribute to the development of the student's cognitive and social skills.
  • Established and maintained parent relations by holding weekly meetings to inform them of their child’s performance and progress and resolve any issues they may be having in class or with their classwork. Also to collaborate with the parents on the strategies used by them in the household so the students can be successful at home and school.
  • Ability to speak Spanish with parents that were not able to speak English.
  • Assisted in creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment that promoted emotional well-being and academic growth for all students.
