
I am 54 married with a 13 year old daughter. Born in England to Irish parents. I moved to the US in 2010 and gained my green card. I have a varied mechanical back ground and a strong work ethic. I enjoy a challenge and am not afraid to step out side of my comfort zone in search of the next step in my career path.
Fleet mechanic at their Jessup shop.
Fleet consisted of International Volvo and Freightliner power units. Thermo King dual temp controlled dry box van trailers. I did complete a Thermo King training course.
Worked in their Dunmore shop.
Fleet consisted of Freightliner day cabs pull open top 53 foot Aluminum box trailers.
I did do aluminum welding repair to these trailers. Mostly minor running repair ans servicing on the power units die to them still being under warranty.
This fleet consisted of Volvo, DAF and Renault power units. Maintain; service; repair and prepare for Government yearly inspections.
You would then take the vehicle for inspection at the testing station and it would pass or fail. If the was a failure the vehicle had to be repaired and re tested.
Power unit would generally go for test with a trailer that was also due.
Fleet consisted of DAF power units semi and straight truck. Repair and service fleet of industrial gas delivery vehicles in bulk tanker and cylinder gas delivery utilizing lift gates and cylinder crane/hoist systems.
Tankers carried liquid gases at cryogenic temperatures, gases included Oxygen, Nitrogen, and CO2.
Trucks and trailer were also prepared and taken for Government inspections every 12 months.
My second time with this company.
It was a family own company which eventually went out of business.
My roll here this time was in the mornings going to site to make sure all the machine were serviceable then back to the shop to do major repairs on down equipment.
This company hired out construction.
My job here was to service and repair this equipment. The last 2 year of which was major repairs, engine and transmission rebuilds etc.
JCB, Bomag, Kubota, Bobcat, Ingersol Rand, Atlas Copco, and Manitou to name a few.
Workshop based with mobile work mas required.
Small company the did highway repair work.
The lead mechanic worked with me previously and asked me to join him here. My duty was mobile service. I would go to job site and prep equipment for the days work.
Trainee mechanic. Part time technical college and on the job training, after 2 years hired full time and stayed there through a company buy out by Hire Plant PLC.
Maintaining and preparing equipment for hire. I was apprenticed to the lead tech and worked with him till he left and asked me to join him at Piperange Asphalt.
