Board of Directors Social Worker

Childrens Village
09.2016 - 01.2019

I volunteered as Board Secretary and served as the Board of Directors Social Worker for the Children’s Village, now Canopy Village for 3 years until my term duties were completed. I assisted with fundraising, events, overseeing a million dollar annual budget, interviewing and hiring executive staff, as well as helping guide policy, write protocols, and work within the community to help secure funding and support. I worked with staff to ensure positive outcomes for children and families in crisis and connect them to appropriate resources. I assisted in grant research and support for staff in writing protocols and proposals. In addition to my social work training and experience, I underwent additional training in crisis response and intervention and continue to do so as part of my dedication to professional development.
