Worked as a nurse in the intake department coordinating & working up referrals that came into the office. Specifically looking at acuity levels & for appropriateness for home health.
I started off as a Patient Care Tech while still completing the LPN program. I worked in ICU & monitored telemetry for the hospital. I then graduated in December of 2008 & began my career as an LPN. I continued to work night shift in ICU & medical surgical floor as a bedside nurse. I completed my LPN course required by Baptist to initiate Intravenous Therapy. I then got a promotion to day shift Utilization Review. I worked in case management as well in the absence of the RN case manager. I also did social work while BHMC-Stuttgart was without a social worker. I was also responsible for coordinating & teaching the Mash Program to high school students. Mash is a two week summer camp for high school students thinking of going into the medical field once they’ve graduated high school. I also served as President of AR county partners in health for two years while being employed by Baptist Health Medical Center Stuttgart.
