Managed several projects for UCI Student Health Center including:

• Management of SHC’s website updates and development;
• Continued in the Administrative Director role during recruitment and training of successor;
• Oversight of the 2023-24 UC Student Health Insurance Plan renewal process;
• Implementation of an AI Chatbot application that is integrated within the SHC website;
• Conducted a feasibility study regarding the potential establishment of a “satellite” pharmacy on campus;
• Conducted a student-patient focus group to assess effectiveness of SHC’s services, identify areas for improvement and to identify potential areas for expansion of services.

• Was responsible for all non-clinical, administrative operations of a high-volume, multi-specialty, university-based, ambulatory care student health clinic;
• Responsibilities included front office operations; appointment scheduling; health information management; billing and accounts receivable; cashiering; insurance services; customer service; Student Health Insurance Plan administration; facility management; human resources including payroll and staff training compliance; life safety and business continuity planning; purchasing; marketing, website administration and campus outreach; operating and capital budgets; and contracts administration.
• Also actively participated in risk management, employee union relations, strategic planning, compliance, facility accreditation, and performance and quality improvement activities.
• Served on various UCI and University of CA committees including COVID Compliance and Testing Workgroup; UCI’s Campus-Health System HIPAA Compliance Committee; and UCI’s Information and Privacy Security Committee.

• Assisted physician, medical group and hospital clients in various initiatives and engagements including hospital-physician alignment strategies, medical group formations, new practice start-ups, practice operations, revenue cycle management and meaningful use compliance.

• Provided leadership in managing existing client relationships, complex consulting engagements and in developing new business opportunities for a medical practice management service-oriented company.

• Directed physician recruitment, business development and program development initiatives within the orthopaedic and neurosciences service lines
• Chaired the orthopedic and neurosciences task forces to monitor and facilitate compliance with established strategic goals and metrics
• Oversaw and assisted in developing complex financial pro formas and analyses to assess profitability of new and existing programs
• Led marketing and public relations activities and provided consultative services to physicians and medical groups affiliated with the hospital.

• Directed an internationally renowned joint replacement program including clinical, research and academic training components
• Scope of responsibilities included operational and financial management of an orthopaedic surgery medical practice including clinic operations, billing and accounts receivable, appointment and surgery scheduling, insurance authorizations, managed care contracting, marketing and public relations
• Also responsible for operational and financial management of research, fellowship and fundraising programs conducted by the Institute in conjunction with the hospital’s 501(c)(3) foundation.
