  • Organizational Realignment, Isolated operating losses when Building grant funds were mixed in one general fund and transitioned Nevada Health Centers to new permanent CEO., Started El Dorado County Community Health Center, got it licensed, obtained FQHC look-alike status, obtained FQHC Section 330 grant, and reached breakeven within four years., Changed the culture from a categorical funded prenatal program to primary care reimbursement system of care at Avis Goodwin, which increased number of uninsured client from 9,500 to 14,500 in three years and total client services from 11,000 to 22,000., Prepared staff and systems for the managed care environment and through the change reduced the cost per service per client., Lead staff (professionals and first time users) through conversions from a manual paper system to computer records (MAO, Avis Goodwin CHC, Foothill Health Center and the law firm computer upgrade).
  • Business Analysis & Management, Achieved break-even and profitability at Avis Goodwin after three years of losses and doubled revenues in five years., Designed and implemented a strategic business plan to reverse a loss situation for Fairview’s Hospice Program. Established an aggressive marketing/public relations campaign to educate physicians and the public, worked with the Medical Staff to secure referrals, and streamlined staff. Result was the elimination of a $130,000 loss while concurrently increasing revenues from $145,000 to over $1,200,000 in less than three years.
