Experienced Program Manager skilled in prevention programming. Considered as a leader in the field of prevention and a subject mater expert in the state of Arkansas for more than a decade. Has been a major contributor to the growth and improvement of Arkansas prevention infrastructure. Facilitated the Arkansas Prevention Strategic Plan since 2012. Advanced understanding of needs assessment, information dissemination, capacity building, program implementation and process and outcome evaluations.

Key Achievements: Under my leadership, MidSOUTH prevention program grew from one to nine grants (of which I directly oversee 5); one to more than 50 contracts/subcontracts; 3 to 13 staff and a budget of less than $100,000 per year in 2015 to more than $7,600,000 per year currently.

• University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Little Rock, Arkansas, Prevention Program Manager, 04/2015, Present, Recruitment, coordination and supervision of MidSOUTH prevention program staff; oversee and administer statewide prevention contracts, subcontracts and grants; serve as primary substance abuse prevention contact for UA Little Rock/MidSOUTH with external stakeholders; facilitate communication, conduct evaluations, assess program effectiveness, and coordinate with assigned contract partners; assist with compiling and completing monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reporting; monitor budgets monthly to determine utilization rate. Oversee and monitor the programmatic activities of the Substance Abuse Block Grant, Partnership for Success, Meth Prevention and Faith Based prevention grants. Oversee MidSOUTH training program; collaborate with Arkansas DHS Division of Behavioral Health Services, Regional Prevention Providers, and other prevention partners to develop content for prevention education training modules. Oversee AR Synar Youth Inspection program. Oversee several data collection and analysis contracts. Please see list of programs and contracts below. Oversee ‘Baby and Me’ safe baby program. A collaboration of UALR MidSOUTH, DHS Division of Children and Families’ Steward of Children program, Arkansas Department of Health and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This program is currently being piloted in 3 Women, Infants and Children clinics.
• Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Aging, Adult, and Behavioral Health Services (DAABHS), Little Rock, Arkansas, Prevention Program Consultant, 09/2013, 03/2015, Oversaw multiple contracts including, prevention training and certification, Partnership for Success (PFS) grant, Synar tobacco inspections, data collection and State Epidemiological Outcome Workgroup (SEOW) to ensure contractors’ compliance with the performance indicators in their deliverables and scope of services; Staff supervision.
• Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Aging, Adult, and Behavioral Health Services (DAABHS), Little Rock, Arkansas, Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF SIG) and State Prevention Enhancement (SPE) Administrator / CSAP Arkansas Fellow, 02/11, 09/2013, Closed out the SPF SIG grant and coordinated the Strategic Prevention Framework State Prevention Enhancement grant; facilitated and coordinated workgroup and State Policy Consortium meetings; Identified and maintained contacts with other key stakeholders; reviewed grant implementation and monitored financial and operational status of grantees; monitored program and service delivery effectiveness and compliance, identified; provided trainings and technical assistance to Regional Prevention Program coordinators.
