I currently volunteer once a month at the Teddy Bear Den in Sioux Falls. The Teddy Bear Den is an organization that encourages healthy choices throughout mother’s pregnancies. While volunteering, we communicate with mothers and their families by helping direct them towards any resources they may need like WIC, Birth to Three, or a social worker that can help them with personal needs. We also help mothers decide what necessities they may need for their children as they can purchase items based on points they earn in their booklet.
