In my 8 years in healthcare I have developed excellent communication skills, became accustomed to fast paced work environments and learned firsthand how to multitask all while maintaining professionalism and keeping the patients happy. I am equipped with strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills. Poised to contribute to team success and achieve positive results. Ready to tackle new challenges and advance organizational objectives with dedication and enthusiasm.
In my newly current position I am a runner and extra hands when needed for anything. I help monitor, get the patient ready and prepare the room. I am eager to learn to pan and scrub as well.
I was the sole interventional radiology tech in a self run department. I prepared patient rooms as well as set up for all procedures and assist with procedures in any way possible. That includes but is not limited to running the c-arm, scrubbing in to assist the radiologist, help the nurse monitor the patient or act as a runner. Outside of the hands on procedure responsibilities I would also take care of ordering supplies for our department, assist in scheduling our patients based on priority, communicate with the director to ensure we have the rooms and keep her informed of the daily work flow. Communicating with staff from all areas of the hospital as well as outside facilities is also a big role I take on for various reasons.
As the lead radiology technologist, I worked daily to keep the department organized and running as smooth as possible. I worked in special procedures as well as mammo and continued to x-ray and perform fluoro exams when needed. Working in multiple job roles daily taught me how to multitask and keep the pace up while keeping patients happy I used EMR, Meditech and powershare/powerscribe daily.
