  • Liberty Christian School created a new position that utilized my gifts for recruitment and retention by building community and connectedness
  • I was involved in the recruitment of students by directing the Open House events and tours, marketing campaigns, and new website design
  • I served on the Admissions Team, reviewing and approving/declining applications
  • I started the Student Ambassador program as a way to allow prospective families to meet current students, and for those students to grow in leadership development
  • For retention efforts, I began with new students planning welcome parties for each grade
  • I started a prayer ministry, dad’s ministry, and mom’s ministry to help parents grow in their faith and better lead their families and led school-wide events such as the Daddy-Daughter/Son Dance
  • I built a network of preschools to feed into LCS and a network of area Christian high schools our 8th grade families could consider and counseled them on their journeys
  • As a member of the senior staff, I have been a part of many weighty decisions and tasked with communicating important information to our families
  • Although enrollment and retention numbers are higher, Liberty Christian School will be closing in May 2025. I have interacted with numerous area schools to encourage our families to continue in Christian education, advising them along the way

  • I shared the blessing of CCA with numerous families by marketing, recruiting, and providing Open House events, tours, and shadow days, increasing enrollment by 18% my last year
  • I walked families through the application and enrollment processes, and executed all aspects of New Student Orientation
  • I integrated the online application and customer relationship management system, School Admin, for use across various departments
  • At CCA, I also built a network with area private schools, terminating at 5th and 8th grades, that could feed high school students to us
  • For retention,I created several connection points starting at the beginning of a student’s CCA career with placement testing pizza parties, and continuing with school-wide welcome parties, and other social events
  • I began the leadership program of Student Ambassadors
  • As a member of the Senior Administrative team, I helped set policy and make decisions regarding the mission and vision of the school and communicate it tirelessly
  • As the first person many families met, I served as counselor, chaplain, and resident CCA expert to those seeking this opportunity for their children

  • Starting WyldLife for Elkridge Landing Middle School (ELMS), my husband and I built strong relationships with students and their families reaching more than 300 students throughout ten years of ministry
  • I created CHAT, a small group girls’ ministry, to share Christ and help students navigate the changing world of being a teen
  • I built bridges to the greater school community by presenting an anti-bullying campaign for ELMS that was adopted by the PTSA and continued for several years
  • We cast the vision and the ELMS WyldLife served as a catalyst for the formation of Young Life at Howard and Long Reach High Schools in Howard County, MD

  • As a Chaplain Intern, I met with patients of all walks of life, nationalities, and backgrounds helping them in times of struggle and hardship draw from and grow in their spiritual journeys

Church Planter

GraceMill
  • As a church planter with my husband, we identified our ministry area, intentionally built relationships within that context, planned and implemented creative outreach events, provided service opportunities to make known the intent of our church plant, and gathered groups for worship and Bible study
  • I served on the multi-state board that created policy and funding for the Church Multiplication Ministry of the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware and served pastor’s wives through various opportunities

Deer Creek Community Church
  • Sensing a call to church planting, my husband and I deeply invested our lives in a new church plant in our area
  • We led a small group for singles and college students, then led young married couples’ and had a vibrant ministry with them as well
  • I met consistently with young wives and new mothers helping them navigate the challenges and joys of these transition times
  • Within this timeframe, I gave birth to three children, homeschooled, and helped with my dad and mom who were diagnosed with cancer and Alzheimer’s, respectively

  • As the TCU BSM Director, the Lord blessed me to rebuild a dynamic group that had campus impact and directly reached more than 200 students per year
  • I developed a student leadership team that envisioned reaching the campus for Christ and planned a weekly worship time, Bible studies in the dorms and apartments, mission trips, outreach events, and international ministry
  • I lead the team in planning campus-wide events such as concerts and revivals
  • Each year I developed numerous relationships with students which resulted in counseling about spiritual and practical decisions
