Collaborates with medical and administrative personnel to maintain patient-focused, engaging and compassionate environment. Escorts patients to exam rooms, obtains vitals signs, reconcile patient information, prepare for physician examinations. Sanitized, restocked and organized exam rooms and medical equipment. Venipuncture for prescribed laboratory testing. Assist infusion room nurses and patients as the opportunity arises. Scrub patient charts assuring all clinical information needed for appointment is available.

Serving a variety of diverse patients in difficult situations providing support as part of the Oncology/Hematology team with kindness, compassion, and service excellence. Collecting vital signs, pertinent information with documentation into Epic health record system. Point of care testing, phlebotomy, assisting with procedures. Injections as directed by providers and authorized by insurance companies. Maintaining clinic and infusion room flow. Order and stock clinic/infusion room supplies. Mentor new employees.

Conduct health history interviews, obtain, document vitals signs, determine donor eligibility, performing phlebotomy, providing donor care during the collection of safe blood units. Demonstrating excellence in customer service and public relations, maintaining confidentiality. Promoting a positive, professional image of the American Red Cross. Working independently within a team structure assuring attention to detail. Collaboration with team to meet or exceeding daily goals set to maintain excellent blood supply. Following infection control and company standards in carrying out donation process. Maintaining clean exam rooms, quality testing on all equipment, assuring supplies are stocked. Performing all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures. Complete extensive standardized training and demonstrate competency to perform each job function and commit to perform only those tasks for which documented training has been completed. Provide instruction and training as requested for Preceptor to new employees.
