Licensed practical nurse professional with proven track record in delivering high-quality patient care and medical support. Skilled in collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adapt to evolving medical needs. Known for reliability, adaptability, and strong problem-solving abilities.
My career with hospice began in May of 2022 when I was hired for the LPN on call position with Prairie Wind Hospice. My primary duties include taking after hour calls to meet the healthcare needs of our patients and ensure facilities have the necessary tools available to carry out these needs. This may include in person patient assessments, problem solving, contacting physicians, implementing interventions, collaboration with facility staff, and updating families, clinical, and interdisciplinary team. I have an abundance of experience with providing education on hospice and end of life changes/expectations with patients, families, and care staff. In my past, I had the opportunity to take part in National Association of Healthcare Assistants (NAHCA) and attended many weekend conferences annually. NAHCA connected me with Coalition to protect senior care and through that experience I was able to visit Kansas healthcare representatives in Washington, DC a few years in a row to lobby how Medicare funding effects the vulnerable elderly we care for daily.
