Inventory Specialist/Stocker
8 Years 6 Months- Company Overview: At Core-Mark, we are the leading distributor for the convenience store industry. We provide solutions for a range of items including groceries, small electronics, hygiene products, toys/games, paper products, tobacco, etc.
- I scanned, tracked, organized and stocked distribution bays with an RF Gun and ticketing system.
- I managed FIFO stock rotation, expiry dates, product launches/phaseouts, and OSHA General Storage Requirements.
- As a trusted keyholder, I conducted inventory on cigarettes, and was responsible for stamp reconciliation for state tax reporting purposes.
- As one of two lead cycle counters for graded corporate assessments/audits, I was accountable for full-scale, cyclical inventories encompassing the entire distribution center, as well as for training new inventory associates.
- I regularly assisted with quality assurance by visually inspecting items and removing anything deemed defective.
- I then coordinated with a host of different product vendors and manufacturers for any applicable returns/credits.
