I bring a strong clinical foundation in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, having worked extensively across ICU, telemetry, neurology, and general medicine units. My academic background in kinesiology and exercise science, combined with hands-on experience performing patient assessments, and prescribing exercise for individuals with cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, directly supports the objectives of SDSU's cardiopulmonary lab curriculum.
In addition to my clinical work, I've served as a Group Fitness Instructor at SDSU for nearly a decade, leading classes for both the general public and athletic teams. This role has strengthened my ability to engage, motivate, and educate diverse learners in both academic and applied settings.
I'm passionate about advancing student learning through evidence-based, experiential instruction. My goal is to help students build the clinical reasoning, technical skills, and professional confidence necessary to succeed in cardiopulmonary physical therapy practice.
As an SDSU alumni, I'm especially committed to contributing to the program's continued excellence and inspiring future practitioners through collaborative, student-centered teaching.
