As the owner of an equine companion I have the responsibility to ensure his well being at all times. This includes the shared barn duties with the barn lessor, where we house one quarter horse, a large hunter jumper pony, and a small / mini horse. We also have 4 free range chickens that we care for. The barn duties include the following;

• Feeding and turnout of all horses
• Appropriate hay types for each
• Cleaning water troughs and monitoring auto waterers
• Mucking stalls, add fresh shavings, blow out / clean barn
• Make hay bags for evening shift.
• Night turn in and hay / water check and top off
• Ensure chickens are in coupe and secured for the night

Owning a horse has been such a joy and I have found peace in taking care of him and all of other barn members.

While my current / previous career path is in the skincare sector, I do have flexibility in my schedule to add some additional time for work that I truly enjoy.
