My name is Claire Mallory and I am a Kinesiology student at Texas A&M University, pursuing a career in Speech Pathology. I have been a member of Aggie Sisters for Christ all four years of college, and a member of Pre-Speech and Language Pathology Society for four semesters. I have been an officer for Pre-Speech and Language Pathology Society for two semesters. I am confident, passionate about learning new skills, ambitious, driven, individual, and ready and willing to work. I bring outstanding communication skills.
• Within this role, I gained over 1,000+ hours of leadership and secretarial experience
• Daily, I had oversight of forty summer staff members, planned and coordinated meals, worked in conflict resolution with both staff and parents of campers, coordinated housing and driving routes for staffers, and helped plan large events for campers and staffers
• The opportunities that I was able to participate in throughout the summer have prepared me to better communicate with my patients in speech therapy and given me the tools to effectively work in varying situations and circumstances.
• Within this role, I was able to utilize conflict resolution skills, gain an extensive knowledge of the Memorial Student center, as well as use a wide variety of quick problem-solving skills.
• Within this role, I served as a role model and authority throughout the two
summers to the children that were under my care
• I was able to carry out daily activity schedules, gather materials, and assist with activity set-up, breakdown, and clean-up on a team of 32 counselors
• I kept the facility, equipment, and vehicles in good working order so that campers and staff could enjoy a safe and secure environment
• I was able to work alongside, and help, other counselors and staff throughout the duration of camp.
• In this role, I prepared trays with standard dental instruments such as periodontal probes, air-water syringes, and dental elevators to promote quick turnover from one patient to the next
• Additionally, I sterilized and disinfected dental instruments to prevent bacteria from growing on them and on surfaces using American Dental Association protocols
• Finally, I placed a high value on punctuality and worked hard to maintain an excellent attendance record, consistently arriving at work ready to work right away.
