I will be attending college next year as an environmental science major and am currently seeking a part-time job until the summer, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time work during the summer to help fund my education.
I understand that while my job experience may not be directly related to farm work, I’ve gained valuable skills through long-term projects and volunteering. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been helping on my great aunt’s farm, planting, harvesting, cultivating, and saving seeds. I love working outdoors and have developed a strong sense of adaptability and perseverance through this work. Additionally, my experiences in childcare, customer service, operating a cashier desk, teamwork, and physical activities like boating, running, and lifting have made me physically strong and a reliable team player. I am accustomed to tough, unpredictable conditions, especially in the summer, and have learned to handle discomfort while maintaining kindness and being receptive to the needs of others.
While there may be gaps in my employment history, these periods reflect my commitment to school and family responsibilities. This summer will be the first time I will have the ability to fully dedicate myself to a full-time job, and I am eager to take on this opportunity!
