I have worked as a barista when I have not been in school since early High school. I attended the Putney School, which is an art school with a farm and working outside was part of the curriculum. I worked the winter AM barn shift which meant waking up at 5 am to shovel the calf pens, lay down fresh sawdust and make sure all of the cows were fed and ready to be milked. I also helped move and set up the electric fence around the different pasture spaces in the fall and spring, and helped harvest maple syrup. I love being outside and getting my hands dirty and I am really passionate about cultivating and eating good food.
