Position Overview: The Education Manager position at the expERIEnce Children’s Museum specializes in the development, preparation and implementation of programming both on and off site, while maintaining the mission of the museum. Following both national and PA state standards, the Education Manager ensures that educational activities advance the integration of science, technology, engineering, art and math while creating powerful family learning experiences that enhance school readiness and enrichment of children ages birth to 13 years.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works collaboratively with the education team on all aspects of educational programming both within the museum as well as outside of the museum
• Develops, prepares and implements innovative classes and camp programming for Toddler, Elementary and Middle School programs
• Develops, prepares and implements hands-on value-added programming
• Develops, prepares and implements class, camp and value-added programming trainings to staff members
• Develops, prepares and implements a volunteer program
• Assists in the planning and execution of educational based special events held at the museum
• Supports badge earning opportunities for both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of Northwestern Pennsylvania
• Supports current outreach programs
• Supports field trips and group tours by demonstrating exceptional hospitality to groups in a professional and friendly manner while interacting with tours during visits
• Participates monthly in applicable ACM groups to learn best practices

• Developed strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a positive learning environment.
• Utilized data-driven assessment tools to evaluate student achievement levels and inform targeted interventions for improvement.
• Implemented differentiated instruction strategies to accommodate various learning needs and abilities within the classroom.
• Collaborated effectively with colleagues on curriculum development, sharing best practices for instructional methods.
• Participated in professional development opportunities to stay current on educational trends and enhance teaching techniques.
• Provided constructive feedback during parent-teacher conferences, allowing for open communication between parents regarding their child''s academic progress.
