I am responsible for managing cash and credit card transactions daily, consistently balancing at the end of every shift. I answer questions about produce and growing practices on the farm, promoting local agricultural practices and engagement with customers. I have furthered my teamwork skills, as well as my communication and ability to operate efficiently under a fast paced environment- and continuing to engage with my community.

First Year Seminar Peer Mentor

During my semester as a First Year Seminar Peer Mentor, I was resposible for working with a team to assist and mentor a class of freshman Merrimack students in their spirng semester. I worked closely with the professor and my co-mentor to create schedules and class plans, to ensure that each class ran seamlessly. With several meetings a week inside class and outside, I increased my multitasking skills and motivational skills as well. I was responsible for creating class plans, leading class discussion, making myself available for meetings outside of class for one on one meetings with students, attending weekly meetings with my team to discuss weekly plans for the class, but most importantly becoming an outlet and a safe space for students in their first year at college. Outside of being a mentor, this role enhanced my critical thinking skills and encouraged me to think outside the box, and to work with students to identify academic or personal challenges in order to offer guidance and support to improve classroom success. This role allowed me to gain more experience in a mentor setting, while also facilitating relationships amongst students and myself in order to positively impact my class.
