In this course, we covered fundamental concepts in probability and statistics, including distribution, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, regression, and the use of statistical software like SAS or R.

Completed coursework and fieldwork in marine science, developing skills in plankton identification, chlorophyll a quantification, primary production measurement, taxonomy, and data analysis. Gained hands-on experience with microscopy, fluorometry, dissolved oxygen measurement, and geospatial data tools, as well as organism collection and classification techniques.

I learned how to write a research paper, received a refresher on how to analyze data and create graphs in Microsoft Excel, learned how to import data from Excel, and analyze and graph using R in RStudio.
