

Biology student pursuing an A.S. in Biological Sciences with a focus on environmental science, plant ecology, and sustainable agriculture, with hands-on experience as an undergraduate researcher studying cheese mallow (Malva parviflora) as a nurse plant to support native wildflower establishment in arid ecosystems; also works on campus applying coursework to research and community-based environmental projects, with strong interests in restoration ecology and climate resilience.
Awarded the 2026 Student Sustainability Award for developing and leading a campus-wide seed library initiative, including securing nonprofit seed donations through outreach to organizations like Sow Right Seeds and Native Seeds/SEARCH, packaging and labeling seeds independently, and increasing student access to free, locally adapted plants to promote sustainability, biodiversity, and community engagement across campus.
