Product design engineer with ownership of cryogenic control valves for IG, LNG and liquid hydrogen service.

• Work with product management and directly with customers to understand product requirements.
• Lead design activities for new product development and product improvement projects.
• Utilize 3d modeling, FEA, simulation software to design and prepare drawings and digital models.

• Responsible for frame rails, frame reinforcements and skid plates/underrun protection within the Chassis Structures and Advanced Calculations group.
• Develop existing sheet metal components and design new components as a part of the chassis ladder assembly. Manage part design and product structure for design changes under various projects under the Mack and Volvo brands
• Coordinate with packaging, analysis and operations teams to ensure proper fit, function, durability and assembly of components
• Write test work requests to verify performance of new components, and develop FMEA documents
• Work closely with suppliers through RTS meetings, and in-depth technical discussions to ensure components are made to specification according to Volvo’s GD&T format
• Facilitate setup of frame fixture/CMM measurement system to record tolerance data.
• Assist in development of web-based engineering tools to run advanced frame strength calculations
