Affiliations

  • Active volunteer at the San Vicente Nursing Home in Ciudad Obregon, in two branches, to raise funds for the maintenance of the nursing home, such as food and medicines by organizing social events. I also volunteered at the DIF (Integral Family Development) system in Ciudad Obregon, raising funds for its maintenance and functionality. During that time, we successfully organized significant and well-recognized mass events throughout the state of Sonora. With the funds raised, we played a part in the construction of a comprehensive and much-needed shelter in the community. This shelter provided a safe haven for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children in the city, offering them education and support. During the time when my children were in elementary and middle school, I served as the president of the Parent-Teacher Association for four years. During my tenure, we organized various events, and I was responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the funds. Once a year, I coordinated the largest sports event of the year, inviting participants and competitors from across the entire state. This two-day sports extravaganza required careful coordination of all the different areas to welcome and assist all the attending individuals and families. I was part of the Sister Cities Committee between Ciudad Obregon and Tucson for several years. During my time on the committee, I played a role in organizing various cultural and celebratory events in the area.
