
Current zoology major at Cal Poly Humboldt who’s extremely passionate about anything and everything relating to animals and the natural world. Uses strong presentation skills as an Animal Education volunteer at the Long Beach Aquarium. Helps maintain the Herp Collection at the Vertebrate Museum at Cal Poly Humboldt. Possesses an amazing knowledge of many different animal species.
Volunteer work with wet specimens of reptiles and amphibians: measuring the ethanol concentration in every jar, along with adding tags to new specimens.
Three hundred fifty-five hours of volunteer work at the following exhibits: Shark Lagoon, Ray Pool, Our Living Coastline, Horseshoe Crabs, Lorikeet Forest, Coastal Corner, Penguins, Moon Jelly Touch Lab, Shark Wading, Pacific Visions theater, Pacific Visions Wet Lab, Shark, Whale, Turtle, and Shrimp Carts, along with Whale Watching with the company Harbor Breeze. Leadership roles with helping the public have an appreciation for marine life, and helping people discover ways to preserve the ocean.
