The RF Engineer is responsible is for conducting highly complex network system administration and design engineering activities to maximize network connectivity and capacity.

• Designs, monitors, and maintains unlicensed/licensed 5.8 GHz/6 GHz/11 GHz microwave and unlicensed/semi=licensed 60-80 GHz millimeter-wave
• Conducts case studies/lab scenarios of new RF technology
• Building/tests mockups for innovative/creative methods of mounting RF equipment to a variety of structures
• Responsible for day to day monitoring of the Microwave Network.
• Remotely troubleshoot and recommend corrective actions to correct network degradation or failure.
• Coordinate corrective or preventive maintenance activities with internal groups and outside vendors performing the work.
• Remote support of corrective or preventive maintenance activities with internal resources and outside vendors performing the work.
• Provide Tier 2 support for RF/MW network issues.
• Work with vendors to resolve hardware or software faults
• Perform software/firmware upgrades on MW equipment as required.
• Manages and oversee all phases of RF/MW installation, construction, and testing in the field.
• Develop and streamline procedures and processes for RF/MW installation and testing.
• Remote support after hours during outages as needed, or during scheduled on-call.
• Meet with customers, site owners, site managers, etc. to illustrate plans for construction and finalize construction agreements.
• Performs installation and testing of new products. Leads installations and upgrades of RF transport and transmission systems.
• Commission and integrate new RF equipment.
• Create, document, and implement procedural standards for RF installation, construction and testing.
• Lab testing of new software or hardware as needed to verify new functions or configurations.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned based on the changing needs of the business.

Design, install, monitor, and maintain microwave network within Uniti footprint

• Equipment knowledge of the following radio platforms: Ceragon, Alcatel Lucent, Aviat, Ubiquiti, Siklu, DragonWave, and Cambium
• Also have knowledge of Commscope FlexWave DAS system
• Diagnose and troubleshoot microwave equipment remotely with field techs in other markets
• Schedule and help perform preventative maintenance for Uniti microwave network (radome cover replacement, antenna re-alignment, line sweeping/replacement, etc.)
• Maintain and monitor spare microwave equipment stock for all markets
• Design, mock-up, install, monitor, and maintain fixed wireless links
• Troubleshoot and resolve outages during on-call scenarios

• Install, provision, and connect various equipment at customer premise to Uniti network
  Knowledge of +24/-48 VDC
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network issues
• Skilled in checking light and using various test equipment like OTDRs
• Familiar with various fiber optic jumpers, connectors, bulkheads etc.
• Knowledge of various SFP brands and types
  Conduct maintenance windows to minimize downtime for customer during the day
  Maintenance of network during on-call scenarios

• Installs and terminates telephone cabling including multi-connect telephone twisted pair and other voice grade cabling systems.
• Installs and terminates data communication cabling including fiber optics and unshielded twisted pair.
• Perform premises cabling
• Run and terminate fiber optic connections
• Tests and trouble shoots problems with structure cabling systems.
• Attends plan review meetings to review structured cabling requirements for construction projects.
• Responsible for working with Facilities Planning and Institutional Services Safety and Environmental department on all jobs.
• Assists in the development of specifications for structured cabling systems.
• Work with Telecom and networking for design of systems.
• Responsible for the maintenance of assigned vehicle.
• Maintains record of time and material used on a job.
• Prepares reports related to job duties, time, materials, et cetera.
• Performs related duties as required.

• Disassemble entertainment equipment and repair or replace loose, worn, or defective components and wiring, using hand tools and soldering irons.
• Install, service, and repair electronic equipment or instruments such as televisions, radios, and videocassette recorders.
• Calibrate and test equipment, and locate circuit and component faults, using hand and power tools and measuring and testing instruments such as resistance meters and oscilloscopes.
• Confer with customers to determine the nature of problems or to explain repairs.
• Tune or adjust equipment and instruments to obtain optimum visual or auditory reception, according to specifications, manuals, and drawings.
• Make service calls to repair units in customers' homes, or return units to shops for major repairs.
• Position or mount speakers, and wire speakers to consoles.
• Connect, install, and terminate connections of Satellite, CCTV, modems, routers, TVs, audio equipment, and computers

• Inspect parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
• Scrub, scrape, or spray machine parts, equipment, or vehicles, using scrapers, brushes, clothes, cleaners, disinfectants, insecticides, acid, abrasives, vacuums, or hoses.
• Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, or other compounds, according to formulas.
• Clean and polish vehicle windows.
• Maintain inventories of supplies.
• Apply paints, dyes, polishes, re-conditioners, waxes, or masking materials to vehicles to preserve, protect, or restore color or condition.
• Clean the plastic work inside cars, using paintbrushes
