Accomplishments
Awarded the CAPLICO Award at First Call Hospice through effectively demonstrating the companies core-values and practices of customer second, accountability, passion for learning, loving one another, intelligent risk taking, celebrating the successes of other team members and the organization at large, as well as demonstrating ownership. I was the first employee at First Call Hospice to receive this award and it is a true honor to have received it.
Created the RN, LVN, and Hospice Aide Preceptor Program at First Call Hospice; a 4-week training program that all new Clinical staff must go through. I achieved this by utilizing my knowledge of Hospice Care and Case Management, utilizing digital resources, creating an outline for the training experience, working with the Clinical team to assign appropriate RN/LVN/HHA Field Trainers, as well as creating a review process of the Preceptor program for the new hire to provide feedback on their training experience.
Asked to be a member of the HCHB Documentation Efficacy and Efficiency Committee at First Call Hospice. This committee was tasked with improving the software used for documentation through feedback, review and assessment, communication with other agencies, discussions with departments including legal, accounting/billing, and leadership. Improvements to the software were able to go live in August of 2023 and our changes reduced charting time by approximately 20% after several rounds of testing.
