Create CMM programs to inspect the parts we program. Evaluate if tooling will hold up in production environments or if process changes need to take place.

Process Developer

Oversee operations of new and on-going part processes. Work with customer's Mechanical Engineers to reduce manufacturing costs, reduce lead times, and improve quality control. Address process issues on shop floor to fix problems with tooling, work-holding, machine quality, and operator errors. Often work with Quality Control department to do Corrective Action Reports on findings.

Also oversee "New Technology" department to implement CMM arms/scanners, robotic arms, and new cutting tool techniques. Am often required to travel to training seminars and manufacturing technology shows to stay up to date in this field.

Heavy use of manual machines, requiring machining principals such as chip-breakers and different tooling rakes for spindles with low horsepower. Also learned to be fluent in Solidworks and 3D models.
