Patrolman: Responds to calls for service assigned by Dispatch, as well as calls that are witnessed by the Deputy Sheriff. This includes generating offense/incident reports when needed, conducting thorough investigations at the scene, collecting witness statements, evidence, and conducting follow-up investigations on all misdemeanor cases and seeing them through to conclusion.

Narcotics Detective: Proactively work within the community to build long term undercover narcotics investigations targeting specific offenders. This includes documenting the use of confidential informants, any evidence (audio/video surveillance, digital photos, drugs, etc), conducting suspect interviews, and properly build the cases in preparation for trial.

Property Crimes Detective: Conduct the follow-up investigations on felony reports generated by patrol officers. This includes canvassing for additional witnesses or any video not available at the time of the original report, as well as working with citizens & community stakeholders to recover any items stolen, detailed documentation of all investigative measures, and make arrests of the individuals involved.

Traffic Unit (Motorman/Unit Supervisor): Targeted traffic enforcement in high violation areas of the community as depicted in FDOT reports. As the unit supervisor I also prepared weekly activity logs, monthly work schedules, Operational Plans/After Action Reports for special traffic details (DUI checkpoints & saturation patrols, driver safety checkpoints, special events within the community).

School Resource Officer: Primary responsibility is to ensure that the assigned school is a safe environment for the students, faculty, and staff. Also conduct "Security Threat Assessments" of the facility in order to develop & implement an "Emergency Action Plan" for the protection of all in case of natural disasters or any acts of terror, and forward all reports to Dept. of Homeland Security.
