I worked in the powerhouse maintenance department. I dealt with water treatment and waste management. My daily tasks were to check the water plant and chemicals being used, and test the water for iron and chlorine readings. I also deal with wastewater, check pH readings coming out of the plant, pull samples from the bio clarifier, and run a soil test every 24 hours. Maintain water coming out of the plant into the basins, to the clarifier, with lime to keep the pH within standard. Checking pumps and chemicals daily. Then regular maintenance on equipment in the plant and weekly, monthly PMs.
I operated the 12-foot machine. We make various types of plastic tanks. Orders that are placed would require paperwork on what size tank, type of powder or ground plastic to use, and what color or pigment to use. Paperwork also includes temperature setting and cooling time. The operator would have set the machine according to the paperwork. Then, selecting which mold to use and properly prepping the mold for use. Once the tank was completed in the furnaces, we would remove the tank and inspect it for any damage or flaws, and determine if they are fixable or not.
