Control Room

Duties: Monitor variables such as pH, Density, temperature, tank and sump levels throughout the plant; assist all other operators' groups by informing them of specific conditions and process variables which are monitored in the control room; fill out operator log sheets; notify plant personnel of emergency situations (i.e. fire, injury, spills, etc.).

Flotation

Responsible for the extraction of valuable minerals from the slurry.

Duties: Maintaining proper chemical reagent addition rates, pulp density and pH, low pressure air, pulp level in cells as needed fill out operator log sheets; inspect area equipment and report deficiencies.

Crushing

Responsible for maintaining a stockpile of coarse crushed ore.

Duties: Coordinate with loader/dozer operator: operate stock feeder, jaw crusher and report deficiencies; fill out operator log sheets.

Grinding

Responsible for grinding ore in preparation for the flotation circuit.

Duties: Operate coarse ore apron feeders, number two conveyer belt, SAG mill, ball mill, cyclones and charging of all mills; inspect equipment and report deficiencies.

Thickening & Filtration

Responsible for dewatering concentrate for shipment.

Duties: Maintain proper flows and densities from thickeners to the filters: monitor the operator of the filters by cloth inspections, by maintaining proper water, air pressure, vacuum and cycle times: inspect the equipment and report deficiencies: fill out operation log sheet: assist in basic maintenance duties: general plant clean-up as required.
