My responsibilities were as follows:

Customer service: Booksellers assist customers in finding books, provide recommendations, answer inquiries, and address customer concerns or issues.

Inventory management: I was responsible for maintaining an organized inventory of books, including ordering new books, receiving and shelving deliveries, and ensuring accurate stock levels.

Merchandising and displays: I arranged and display books in an attractive and engaging manner, create eye-catching window displays, and utilize effective signage to promote featured titles or genres.

Knowledge of books and genres: i have a great understanding of various book genres, authors, and popular titles. i offered recommendations and provide information about different books to customers.

Sale operations: handling cash registers or computerized point of sale systems to process sales, accept payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate transaction records.

Book ordering and cataloging: placing orders with publishers or distributors, tracking shipments, and ensuring books are correctly cataloged and organized within the store.

General store maintenance: This includes keeping the store clean and tidy, organizing shelves, dusting, and managing displays. They may also handle tasks like stocking stationery or gift items if the store offers them.
