Awards

  • June 2019: Earned 2nd Prize at the Kaufman Music Center International Youth Piano Competition, marking one of his earliest international-level achievements.
  • 2019: Awarded the Grand Prize at the ENKOR International Piano Competition, recognized for exceptional musical interpretation and artistry.
  • 2021: Performed at Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall as a result of winning 1st Prize in the Rondo Vanguard Music Competition.
  • 2021: Honored with the Grand Prize at the National League of Performing Arts – International Young Artists Competition for outstanding performance excellence.
  • 2021: Captured 1st Prize titles in both the Chopin International Piano Competition (Hartford, CT) and the NYC Queens International Competition.
  • 2021: Achieved 1st Prize in the Vivo International Music Competition and received the Bronze Medal during the Winners’ Concert at Merkin Hall, Kaufman Music Center.
  • 2021: Reaffirmed artistic distinction by earning another Grand Prize in the ENKOR International Piano Competition.
  • June 2022: Secured 3rd Place in the Kaufman Music Center International Youth Piano Competition, continuing a strong record of international recognition.
  • July 2024: Awarded a prestigious scholarship from the Chopin Foundation of the United States in recognition of exceptional talent and musical promise.

Accomplishments

  • Began piano studies at four and a half under the instruction of Dr. Jing Yang.
  • Since 2017: Studying Piano Performance at Kaufman Music Center’s Special Music School with Ms. Irina Morozova.
  • Performed in community concerts at the JASA Senior Center in Manhattan Beach, New York.
  • Summer 2024: Participated in both the Mannes Piano Festival as one of the youngest participants, followed by the Kaufman Music Center Summer Festival.
  • Summer 2024: Received a scholarship from the Kaufman Music Center Summer Festival in recognition of outstanding performance and dedication.
  • 2025: Performed Bach’s Double Concerto in C Major for two pianos and orchestra in a project led by Simone Dinnerstein.
  • Received a scholarship from the Fryderyk Chopin Institute after submitting nearly an hour of solo repertoire featuring the works of Chopin.

Publications

Cobie was a contributer in the creation of the book "Who is Florence Price?", written by Special Music School middle school students, which has been internationally published. He also appeared on an episode of Good Morning America, bringing attention to the work of Florence Price.
