  • Responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of Company gas/liquid pipelines, compressor stations, pump stations, terminals and other related facilities.
  • Implementation of the Company Damage Prevention Program including performing and coordinating work group activities including Patrolling, locating, construction and inspection, and excavation inspection of Company gas/ liquids pipelines.
  • Essential duties and responsibilities:.
  • Operate and maintain pipelines, compressors and auxiliary equipment, engines, turbines, motors, cooling equipment, pump stations, pumps, valves, seals and other related equipment.
  • Start, stop and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters.
  • Diagnose and repair pumps, seals, valves and instruments.
  • Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, pipeline appurtenances, corrosion control protection systems, measurement and storage well equipment.
  • Operate, maintain, adjust and make minor repairs on equipment such as water pumps, air compressors, expanders, coolers, test equipment, vehicles, etc.
  • Locate and mark facilities per Company Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures prior to and during excavation.
  • Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with Company procedures of excavation activities near pipeline facilities.
  • Perform pipeline patrols, population density surveys, leak detection surveys and inspections per Company procedures.

  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of pipelines, auxiliary equipment, motors, pump stations, pumps, valves, seals and other related equipment relating to crude oil pipelines in Colorado and Wyoming.

*Installed test stations for Suncor/Geigers construction

*Installed test leads using exothermic (cad) welding procedures

*Installed rectifiers by identifying safety hazards and precautions associated with this critical task while working on a pipeline

*Installed galvanic anodes by excavate a trench to ensure a single horizontal or vertical anode can be installed at least 5 feet away from the pipeline I prepared pipe surface by removing pipe coating, scale, rust, dust or any other foreign material Inspection of the surface to ensure a weld can be made without penetrating the pipe

*Installed Bonds by removing the coating from the pipeline for a surface area large enough to accommodate the mold and wire I then prepared the metal surface to white metal making sure no oil or grease contamination was on the surface

*While working for Suncor/Geiger construction I was required to excavate on live crude oil pipelines

*I was responsible for doing one calls, installed pipe repair sleeves (petro sleeves, clock springs, full sole sleeves)

*Monitor the condition of the pipeline through visual inspections

* Was a tool pusher/ Lead for Geigers' construction before leaving to start at Tallgrass

*Installed FRP and pipe supports

*Sandblasted on a live line
