Accomplishments

  • Camera and Access Control Issues: I tackled longstanding problems, including access control issues that had been unresolved for years. I then successfully created a contract with a vendor to provide monthly service to ensure that the access control system and cameras are consistently maintained. I was able to fix dozens of cameras throughout the hospital, including resolving access control issues in 5 ICU units. As of April 1, 2025, all ICU units will be controlled by badge access to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Life Safety and Emergency Preparedness: I took a leadership role in implementing an active shooter drill at the hospital. Following the drill, I was able to identify and correct several issues that had been overlooked, while also training the entire hospital staff on proper response procedures specific to their units.
  • Staffing: I am proud to say that I have successfully reestablished the trust between security and the hospital staff. This relationship is now stronger than ever. I now receive thank-you cards from hospital staff, which I pass along to the security team, further fostering team morale.
